Our Team II is still moving along, but it feels like we're ramming a lot in at the
last minute of the semester. We've got Q&A with the professor online this
week, but the way the other teams and we seem to be going, I wonder how it all is
goping to come together for everyone in the next week. The testing is due Thursday
(?), and presentations next week? I fear we'll all be spending a lot of time
getting the projects working without understanding it as well as we could, and then
cramming for the final. Or maybe I'm just whining. Anyway, it'll be a
fast and furious next two weeks.

Our team project is coming along well, but we're all a bit tenative about how this
will all work together. We're confident we'll get through it, but right now
its all theory and design. I think we'll all feel better once we have some working
code to sink our teeth into. I think the end of the semester is going to come
up fast.. Even though our next deliverable isn't until next week, its only one week
after that when implementaiton and testing is due, so you pretty much have to be done
by then, or at least well on your way. We'll try to stay ahead of the game there
so we don't get behind.

Hi,

Sheesh, there's a lot coming due in the next couple of weeks. I feel like I
have to knuckle down and stay on top of things, or they're going to get out of control
pretty quickly. I think I need to slow down a bit when doing the labs.
I come away from them not fully understanding what I just did. I slip into the
mode of just getting the task at hand DONE, becasue my time (as I'm sure yours is)
is pretty scarce. Anyway, good luck everyone on your project teams. I
hope a couple of weeks is enough time to get that first deliverable done.

I, like others, was really glad to start to dig in to SAP XI. It feels like
we're getting in to the meat of the class. I have a project right now at work
that will use our SAP XI instance, and I'm excited to understand it better.
In the past, when the discussion turned to the integration issues, I'd try to absorb
what I could but I'd miss so much. Hopefully now I can understand and actually
contribute.

I still need to research and pick my paper idea. I hope to find something that'll
fit well with my work project.

Also, I ordered my Dell laptop last night! I'm very excited to have my own PC
and not have to run in to the lab each weekend.

Well, I made a rookie mistake when I did the lab the other night. I finished
it but then tried to email the document to myself, but sent the solution not the project
files. So, I'll have to do it again. However, I think I went through it
too fast, and didn't really understand what I was doing. So, I'll be able to
go through it quickly, but understand it better this weekend, when I go in to the
lab to do it.

Also, I plan on purchasing a Dell Laptop at the end of the month to help with my studies.
I'd welcome any advice on hardware or OS or software. I am in IT but haven't
stayed abreast of the home pc or laptop markets. It seems Macs are cool but
you pay a premium; and then you can't run Visual Studio on it anyway, not to mention
other challenges with other business software, I expect. I am looking at either
the Inspiron or Latitiude. I'd like to do some simple networking with my wife's
business pc.
